Spooky and spectacle: Halle celebrates Halloween and the Festival of Lights!

An exciting weekend is coming up in Halle! On October 30, 2025, the city will be the venue for many exciting events that will delight young and old. From model railway exhibitions to horse racing to spooky Halloween parties, there is something for everyone. The variety of events promises a colorful hustle and bustle and numerous opportunities to do good business.

It starts on Saturday morning with a **model railway exhibition** at the EMC on Unstrutstrasse, which is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The fascination with model railways, which combines precision, creativity and historical elements, attracts not only enthusiasts but also the curious. This exhibition shows detailed miniature copies of historical railway lines as well as modern high-speed networks and will make the hearts of model building lovers beat faster. Similar events in Germany and the surrounding area have established themselves as real visitor magnets, and Halle is no exception. If you would like to find out more about the art of model railway building, you will find helpful information at Modellbau World.

Family friendly Halloween events

The **Race Day** starts at 12.15 p.m. with a total of seven races by English thoroughbreds, where the prize money is up to 90,000 euros. The combination of horses, weather euphoria and a great atmosphere makes this event the highlight of the day.

The afternoon will be spooky and fun, because the big Halloween event begins at 2 p.m. in Heidebad with a dance party. Younger horror fans can look forward to some **scary fun** in the BWG Adventure House at 2:30 p.m. – it will be exciting! Also on the program from 3 p.m. are an **organ walking tour** and a **lantern parade** at the SG Buna in Halle-Neustadt.

In the evening there will be the eagerly awaited **Coronation of the Light Fairy** on the market square at 6 p.m. The atmospheric fairy lights will further fuel the anticipation of the festival of lights. From 8:15 p.m. the horror fever will continue in the Prisma Cinema Neustadt with the cult film adaptation “Rocky Horror Picture Show”. For night owls, the doors open at 10 p.m. to the “Trick or Treat” Halloween party in the Palette dance bar and the Bankers Club – there’s sure to be dancing all night long!

Sunday should not be neglected either

On November 1st there will be a **flea market** and a children's goods exchange in the trade fair from 9 a.m., while the model railway exhibition will take place again from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. If you need a break from dawdling, you can't miss the science market for the Silver Salt Festival at 10 a.m. in the Kulturkaufhaus am Markt.

The Halloween fun continues! From 5.30 p.m., the Hallesche Disabled Workshops for people with disabilities will be celebrating a Halloween party on Blumenauweg, which will provide exciting entertainment with a “murder course”. A bright spot is the **lantern parade** from the main train station to the market at 6 p.m., followed by a spectacular laser show at 7 p.m., which appropriately introduces the festival of lights.

Sunday is rounded off with an over-30 singles party at the Aurum Club, while night owls dance into the new decade of the 2010s at the “Waka Waka” party at the Drushba club. It remains to be said: Halle will be lively like never before on October 30th and 31st and November 2nd. Don't miss the chance to be part of these exciting events!

A diverse offering that combines tradition with modern fun. The **Red Ochse Memorial** is open on both days from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and invites you to reflect on the past. A comprehensive program for all age groups - there is no room for boredom!
