Celebratory 120th annual festival in Lobetal: Discover the good together!
On June 22, 2025, the Hope Valley Lobetal Foundation will celebrate its 120th annual festival with lots of joy and a colorful program. The event takes place in the picturesque Waldkirche in Bernau and invites everyone interested to celebrate the values of community and inclusion. Under the motto "Look. Discover the good." The festival will offer a special experience not only for people with and without disabilities, but for all generations. The Barnim Aktuell reports that the festival begins at 10:00 a.m. with a celebratory service in the Waldkirche.
Numerous highlights await visitors: The service will be organized by, among other things, Christian teaching children who will perform a play. Pastor Ulrich Pohl, chairman of the v. Bodelschwinghschen Stiftung Bethel, will give the sermon. In addition, wind instruments from Bethel, Bielefeld and Lobetal provide the musical accompaniment to the service. At 11:30 a.m. things really get going on the village square with a family program and activities for young and old.
Diverse offer for visitors
There will be a varied stage and family program on the village square. Here guests can look forward to stalls with different products, plants and special Lobetal organic products. Your physical well-being will also be taken care of - from hearty meals and drinks to sweet treats such as coffee and cake.
Another highlight of the day will be the concert by the blind singer Marlon Falter in the Waldkirche at 2 p.m. Famous from “The Voice of Germany”, Falter is presented with a mixture of well-known hits. Guided tours are also offered at 12 p.m., 1 p.m. and 2 p.m., where visitors can get to know the work of the Hope Valley Lobetal Foundation. A shuttle bus service will also be available between Bernau train station and Lobetal to make travel easier.
A celebration with social responsibility
Another goal of the festival is to promote integration and social cohesion. Events like these are extremely important in creating a sense of community. In Germany there is a legal framework that is intended to ensure the protection of the rights and well-being of people in social institutions. This ensures, among other things, that accessibility and inclusion are always a priority, as the [Living Quarter](https://www.livingquarter.de/feste-und- Feiern-in-einrichtung-integration-und-gemeinschaft/) explains.
The year 2025 not only offers an opportunity to celebrate, but also an opportunity to raise awareness of important issues such as accessibility and social integration. It is a festival that both emphasizes cultural diversity and creates space for dialogue and exchange.
Visitors can look forward to a day full of joy, music and shared experiences. Admission is free, and whether old or young – everyone is warmly invited to be there and enjoy the many beautiful moments.
