35 years of ASB: Kita Weinbergspatzen” celebrates its 70th anniversary!
A festive occasion attracted numerous guests to the Audimax. The ASB local association Brandenburg e.V. recently celebrated its 35th anniversary, while at the same time the “Weinbergspatzen” daycare center in Göttingen looked back on a proud 70 years. Founded in 1955, the daycare center has developed into an important educational institution since 1990 under the sponsorship of the ASB. As [stadt-brandenburg.de](https://www.stadt-brandenburg.de/presse/jubilaeums Feier-der-weinbergspatzen) reports, the city councilor Alexandra Adel was present at the festive event and honored the many years of work with personal gifts, including an enchanting dragon hand puppet.
The daycare center's annual report shows that eight dedicated educators look after 40 children aged one year until they start school. Through a family-oriented and natural upbringing, the children are not only prepared for school, but also supported in their social development. Particularly noteworthy is the daycare center's integrative concept, which integrates health, nutrition and exercise into everyday life, as well as the close connection to local events, including the volunteer fire department.
A program for the little ones
The festivities included an entertaining program designed by the daycare children themselves. The event ended pleasantly with a pirate party to which the family members were invited. Such events not only strengthen cohesion within the daycare center, but also promote the children's social learning, which is crucial for their development. Data from early education research shows that secure attachments and active social interactions are fundamental factors that shape children's educational histories, especially in the first years of life. This is also shown by the findings summarized in the kindergartenpaedagogik.de.
For children under the age of three, the ASB offers various forms of care that respond to individual needs. Whether in crèche groups or in mixed-age groups – the goal is to make the transition to primary school as smooth as possible. The ASB not only promotes the development of children with and without disabilities, but also supports parents in balancing family and work, as described on asb.de.
The importance of early childhood education
Early childhood education has changed significantly over the years. Children today are viewed as active, competent learners. Studies show that the first seven years of life are crucial for the development of cognitive and social skills. Facilities like the “Weinbergspatzen” make a decisive contribution to the positive development of children thanks to their high quality standards. Research makes it clear that high-quality early childhood care has a lasting impact not only on cognitive but also on social development.
For many children, the time in daycare is the first step towards independence. Experiences such as celebrating anniversaries and celebrations together create memories that last a lifetime. While the ASB Brandenburg local association can now look back on 35 years of successful work, we can be excited to see how the “Weinbergspatzen” will continue to offer the little ones a good home and valuable education in the future.
