Brandenburg Cup final 2025: excitement and tradition
Last Saturday the final participants VfB Krieschow and RSV Eintracht 1949 Stahnsdorf competed against each other in the Volksparkstadion Neuruppin. This final, the first since 2013 without the traditional clubs Energie Cottbus and SV Babelsberg 03, turned out to be a real thriller. RSV Eintracht beat third division team Energie Cottbus 3-1 on penalties in the semi-finals, while Krieschow prevailed 2-1 against regional league team FSV Luckenwalde. rbb|24 reports.
Both teams have shown strong performances in the NOFV-Oberliga Süd, with Krieschow in 2nd place and RSV Eintracht in 4th place. The direct duels between the two teams are particularly exciting: In the league, RSV Eintracht failed to score any goals in either game (0:0 and 0:3).
| team | Current table position |
|---|---|
| VfB Krieschow | 2nd place |
| RSV Eintracht 1949 Stahnsdorf | 4th place |
Financial aspects and ticket availability
The financial interest in the final is considerable: the winner can look forward to 209,453 euros from DFB central marketing, but has to give up 25%. The losing finalist receives at least 15,000 euros. Unfortunately, in terms of tickets, things are looking poor for the fans; Currently only standing room tickets are available in Block F. Of the 1,800 tickets sold, there is no box office, which makes things even tighter.
The game will be live from rbb|24 broadcast from 2:25 p.m., and ARD will also show a major conference of the state cup finals from 12 p.m.
The Brandenburg State Football Association, under the leadership of President Jens Kaden, was founded on July 28, 1990 and has experienced impressive development since then. With around 657 clubs and around 111,249 members, the FLB is an important part of the football landscape in Germany. Wikipedia provides information about this.
