The love of reading is flourishing in Brandenburg! Since 2019, the Brandenburg libraries have been organizing the “Brandenburg Reading Summer” to promote the joy of reading and enthusiasm for books without the stress of school. There were certificates for the young readers and great prizes such as city vouchers and library backpacks were raffled off.
A special highlight was the reading by Cally Stronk and Christian Friedrich, two authors from the popular children's book series “The Three ???”. The children were not only able to listen, but also actively participate with questions and puzzles. The most diligent among the readers were awarded 3-print trophies: Janick Blach and Moritz Roos each read 9 books, Rafael Grigoriants managed 26 books and Anton Lorek even managed 50! Mayor Steffen Scheller was enthusiastic and expressed his wish to continue the reading summer as a tradition.
New reading pleasure and challenges
