Heat wave hits: 37 degrees expected in Berlin and Brandenburg!

The heat wave in Germany is reaching new heights: On August 14, 2025, the German Weather Service predicts that temperatures in Berlin and Brandenburg will be well above 30 degrees. According to rbb24, it will be particularly hot with up to 37 degrees, especially on Friday. Friday is expected to be the hottest day of the week there, with highs of 31 degrees reported in places like Pritzwalk, 36 degrees in Senftenberg and 34 degrees in Berlin.

Of course, the heat also brings dangers. The forest fire risk in Brandenburg has reached critical level 4. Although entering the forests is permitted, possible access closures are not recommended given this level of danger. A year-round ban on fires and smoking in the forests and at a distance of less than 50 meters from the edge of the forest continues to apply. The Berlin city cleaning department has also prepared for the heat and is closing all recycling centers on Thursday.

Heat and possible thunderstorms

Local showers and thunderstorms are expected on Friday, which could potentially cool things down a bit. However, the heat wave will continue for the time being and poses challenges for the population, particularly with regard to health and safety outdoors. Residents are urged to be careful and protect themselves accordingly.

Amidst these extreme weather conditions, we also need to think about safety compliance. At the digital level, eCAC, the virtual center for responding to public inquiries in Brazil, faces the challenge of data security. As cav.receita.fazenda.gov.br informs, it is important that all access to their systems is monitored and controlled.

The public is reminded that all information in the public administration systems is protected by confidentiality and users must agree to the legal responsibilities in accordance with the Privacy and Use Policy. Especially in times when online services play an important role, it is very important to pay attention to security and the responsible handling of data.

Whether heat or digital challenges – it remains to be seen how we will overcome these issues in the coming days. But one thing is certain: the heat wave requires discipline and mindfulness from all of us!
