In the early morning hours of October 27, 2025, a 44-year-old driver was stopped by the police in Falkensee, more precisely on Nauener Straße. A breath alcohol test showed an alarming 1.32 per mille. On the same day, but already in the early hours of the morning, the police from Premnitz received a report of a theft from a truck. Unknown perpetrators had stolen over 100 liters of diesel fuel, which caused damage of around 180 euros. The crime took place between Sunday afternoon and Monday morning and the police have secured relevant evidence and initiated criminal proceedings.
Fuel theft and its consequences
Fuel theft is not without consequences. According to Section 243 of the Criminal Code, this is a particularly serious case that can be punished with prison sentences of 3 months to 10 years. The police will now also investigate this case in order to identify the background and the possible perpetrators. In a similar case, the Federal Court of Justice ruled that although the specific requirements for aiding and abetting serious gang theft were not met, criminal prosecution in the context of gang theft is still possible. This sheds light on the seriousness of such offenses and the legal consequences that can await the perpetrators, among other things ra-kotz.de can be read.
Another notable event occurred on the same day in Brandenburg an der Havel, where a 59-year-old cyclist was seriously injured. The accident occurred when he was driving in the opposite direction and collided with an oncoming cyclist. Without a helmet on his head, he suffered a fractured arm and head injuries. The police have started investigating the exact cause of the accident.
Burglaries and arson
A break-in at a commercial facility in Nauen was also reported on Monday morning. Unknown perpetrators stole technical tools there, resulting in an estimated loss of around 4,000 euros. The police investigation is in full swing.
In addition, there was a fire in an empty industrial building in the city of Brandenburg an der Havel, which was reported at around 11:45 p.m. The building, approximately 15 × 20 meters in size, was fully ablaze and the fire department was able to successfully extinguish the flames. With regard to road safety, it is less encouraging that alcohol-related traffic accidents continue to be a problem throughout Germany. According to the Federal Statistical Office, a continuous increase in the number of accidents will be recorded until 2024, which once again shows how important responsible driving behavior is. Here too, a real appeal to all road users to keep the roads safe, as the data shows Statista show.
The city of Brandenburg and the surrounding area remains a hotspot for criminal activity; it remains to be hoped that the police can strengthen the security of citizens.
