The wave of burglaries: Police warn of increasing thefts!

There have been several police operations in the region in recent days, ranging from thefts to burglaries and hit-and-runs. A particular incident occurred in Falkensee, where an Audi SUV was stolen from the public street. The theft occurred between Friday, August 22nd, 5:30 p.m. and Saturday, August 23rd, 8:40 a.m. The criminal police have already started an investigation and put the vehicle out for a search, reports Rathenow24.

Overall, there is a worrying trend in the region, which is also reflected in the latest police reports. For example, on Sunday, August 24th, several vehicle break-ins were recorded in Wustermark. In one incident, the side windows of a Seat were smashed and items worth around 1,000 euros were stolen.

Burglaries and shoplifting

But it's not just vehicles that are targeted by thieves. An attempted break-in at a beverage store in Premnitz was reported on Monday, August 25th. Here too, the perpetrators tried to break down the door, but failed, while property damage occurred.

Another example is the shoplifting in Dallgow-Döberitz, where two women aged 16 and 33 stole goods worth around 250 euros. The police were able to catch them on Tuesday, August 26th and filed criminal charges.

Important information about car theft

In this context, it is important to find out about insurance options in the event of car theft. Partial comprehensive insurance not only covers damage after theft, but also reimburses the costs of replacing the vehicle minus the deductible. This protection also applies to permanently installed parts such as on-board computers or radios GDV explained.

Unfortunately, some thieves remain unrecognized, like the pickpockets who stole from several customers in a supermarket in Friesack on Saturday, August 23rd. Here too, the criminal police are still looking for clues.

Traffic offenses and drugs

Apart from thefts, there were also some traffic offenses in the region. A driver in Brandenburg an der Havel had an accident under the influence of alcohol and it turned out that he was behind the wheel with a blood alcohol level of 1.95. As part of the traffic controls, several people without a valid driver's license were stopped, including a 54-year-old driver who was driving a trailer.

Investigations into all of these incidents are ongoing and police are urging the public to be vigilant and report any suspicious activity immediately.

In summary, there is currently a higher risk of theft and break-ins in the region. It is therefore advisable to always keep an eye on the safety of your own vehicles and homes and to take appropriate protective measures.
