Werder (Havel), Deutschland - The Werder youth fire brigade (Havel) recently experienced an important update: New protective equipment was handed over as part of the 19th City Championship of the Werder fire brigade (Havel). It was a day on which the focus was on both security and the motivation of the young firefighters. The 1st deputy Christian Große emphasized the importance of support for the youth fire brigades when handing over. "We have to promote the future heroes of our city," said Große. The new equipment will not only guarantee the security of the 72 children and adolescents, but also strengthen the positive role model effect of the fire brigade.
The procurement costs for the new protective equipment amounted to a considerable 21,100 euros. This investment was supported by the Ministry of the Interior and for the Local Local of the State of Brandenburg, with the city of Werder (Havel) also providing funding. A total of 101 members could be equipped, which shows that the city is behind its offspring. In order to further increase the visibility of the young firefighters, 14 beach flags were also purchased, which were used for the first time during the city championship.
