New shine for the Werder youth fire brigade: Protection equipment handed over!

Werder (Havel), Deutschland - The Werder youth fire brigade (Havel) recently experienced an important update: New protective equipment was handed over as part of the 19th City Championship of the Werder fire brigade (Havel). It was a day on which the focus was on both security and the motivation of the young firefighters. The 1st deputy Christian Große emphasized the importance of support for the youth fire brigades when handing over. "We have to promote the future heroes of our city," said Große. The new equipment will not only guarantee the security of the 72 children and adolescents, but also strengthen the positive role model effect of the fire brigade.

The procurement costs for the new protective equipment amounted to a considerable 21,100 euros. This investment was supported by the Ministry of the Interior and for the Local Local of the State of Brandenburg, with the city of Werder (Havel) also providing funding. A total of 101 members could be equipped, which shows that the city is behind its offspring. In order to further increase the visibility of the young firefighters, 14 beach flags were also purchased, which were used for the first time during the city championship.

A look at the city championship

The city championship itself was a real highlight. Different disciplines, such as skill exercises and the extinguishing attack over 65 meters, ensured tension and team spirit. In these competitions, the young participants were able to try out the new protective clothing and thus experience directly how well they can move in the equipment. The event was not only a competition, but also an appreciation of the commitment of everyone involved.

In view of the financial challenges with which many youth fire brigades are confronted, it is gratifying that there are numerous opportunities for generating money. The youth policy department of the youth fire brigade Bavaria has created a lexicon that discusses various financing options for youth fire brigades, including crowdfunding, fundraising and donations. Such initiatives not only help to acquire the necessary funds, but also promote community and commitment within the fire brigade. Further information on the financing of youth fire brigades is available on the website of the Bayern youth fire brigade, which here can be called up.

Finally, it can be said: The new protective equipment is not only a sign of the appreciation of the work of the youth fire brigade members, but also an important step into the future of the fire brigade. The city of Werder (Havel) shows that she believes in her youth and is willing to invest in whose security and training. This is not only good for the young firefighters, but also for the entire community.
