Fast-paced Havelland Rally: Tension between Havel and Fläming!
The 52nd PRS Havelland Rally caused a lot of excitement on October 8, 2025 in Beelitz, Brandenburg. Beelitz, idyllically located between Berlin and Wittenberg, offered a perfect ambience for the event. The rally center on the Jakobs-Hof on the B2 was the central meeting point. Spectators were able to obtain information, buy the programs and fortify themselves at the catering stand around the clock. The rally office, the start and the finish were in the immediate vicinity, which made the organization much easier.
Before the big race, there was an exhibition of historic rally vehicles on the Beelitz church square on Friday afternoon, which allowed visitors to immerse themselves in the world of motorsport. The technical inspection of the participants took place between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. before the rally began on Saturday with a spectacular start at 12:01 p.m. by the André and Stine Schmidt teams in historic Moskvich.
Rally highlights and tests
Rally 70 covered a total of an impressive 69.9 stage kilometers. The start was a loop with the WP Brück, an exciting 10 km long start-finish test, followed by a city circuit through Beelitz. A second loop followed in the afternoon with a special highlight: the royal test between Alt-Bork and Deutsch Bork, which covered 18 kilometers and changed surfaces 12 times. The town drive through Deutsch Bork received particular attention, where the spectators were provided with food and a live report.
This year not only were the rally winners crowned, but important decisions were also made in the ADMV Cup and the Northern Regional Championships. There were exciting duels among the participants, for example between Pierre Günther in the Honda Civic, who was leading in the ADMV Cup, and Benjamin Zander in the Group G seat Ibiza, who had a chance of winning the ADMV Saxony-Anhalt/Berlin-Brandenburg championship. Norbert Meyer in the Volvo 940 was also in the race for the title.
Classes and placements
The rally offered a variety of classes that were open to both veterans and newcomers. A head-to-head race between Günther and Zander was expected. Stig Andervang in the Hyundai i20 Rally2 and Herbert Lösch in the Skoda Fabia R5 were the favorites for overall victory. The duo Raphael Ramonat and Karina Derda were also aiming for the podium places they were aiming for. Fabian Schulze and Jean Ihlefeldt in the Peugeot 208 Rally4 were the favorites in the front-wheel drive class.

The ADMV Rally Championship, as part of which the Havelland Rally takes place, is considered the most demanding regional series in Germany. It offers drivers from different federal states the opportunity to collect points for championship victory. The championship includes numerous events and therefore attracts motorsport enthusiasts who want a good knack for exciting races. It is not for nothing that it is also unofficially known as the “East German Rally Championship”, in the tradition since 1991, as Wikipedia shows.
The rally in Beelitz not only became a venue for spectacular motorsport experiences, but also a meeting place for rally fans and participants who were captivated by the atmosphere and the sporting rivalry.
