Paul Burdach, who has been missing since April, is being sought in Havelland, while an ominous rental case and a change in the fire department are keeping the region busy.

Missing Rathenower: Mother calls for help – police are investigating!
In Rathenow the clock has stood still for over 15 months because 24-year-old Paul Burdach is missing. His last trace leads back to April 17, 2024, when he called his mother, Sabine Burdach, just the evening before to tell her his preference for a certain dish. A mother who contacted her son every day now finds herself in a hopeless situation. Friends no longer found Paul at his apartment on April 18th. It was only after five weeks, as a result of increasing pressure from media reporting, that a special commission was formed in Potsdam. The police and public prosecutor's office now suspect a homicide. These serious allegations are further reinforced by Sabine Burdach's fear that her son may have fallen into the dark circles of the local drug scene. In an emotional video, she calls on the public to help and offers a reward of 2,000 euros for information that could lead to Paul. More on this reported RTL.
But it's not just Paul Burdach's fate that raises questions. Noteworthy incidents also occurred in Premnitz. Elfriede Krauß died here at the end of January 2024. Despite her death, the rents continue to be debited from her account while her apartment remains untouched. The overflowing mailbox indicates that someone can wait a lifetime for a new resident. Her sister inherited the lease but is doing nothing. The Premnitz housing association does not comment on this unfortunate case. Such events highlight the challenges that exist in tenancy law. This is also what the current annual report is about DBDD, which deals with many relevant topics such as prevention and harm reduction in the area of illegal drugs.
A city on the move
Meanwhile, the situation in Falkensee remains tense. City fire chief Daniel Brose was unexpectedly given leave of absence. This leads to a newly created provisional military leadership under Frank and Benjamin Christ. Despite these personnel changes, the fire department's operational readiness is assured. The event shows how quickly things can change in the city and how important it is to remain able to act even in crisis situations.
Last but not least, the summer heat in Havelland results in shortened teaching times at many schools and requires students to rush home at lunchtime. A scenario that is difficult to cope with for many, especially since the Havelbus cannot adjust its timetables at short notice due to the current situation. However, passengers can at least hope for air-conditioned vehicles.
The themes are linked in the city, which is in a phase of change and uncertainty. The fates of the people here are often intertwined, and it remains to be seen how the situation will develop further.
