Altbarnim celebrates 725 years: parade & great events on June 28th!

Neutrebbin, Deutschland - In Neutrebbin, a big festival will be celebrated on June 28, 2025! On this day, not only the impressive 725 years of small barnim and 650 years of large barnim are on the program, but a colorful parade and entertainment program is also offered. Over 140 inhabitants who live in the three districts and have been part of Altbarnim since 1949 and have been part of the municipality of Neutrebbin since 1997 can look forward to a beautiful piece of local history. The preparations are in full swing and the festival promises to offer a large variety. Musical performances, demonstrations and a dance party will be entertained by visitors. The challenges on site

Despite the festive occasions, there are challenges that the villagers have to address. The living conditions are strongly agricultural, and the infrastructure has its weaknesses - especially the village streets are in a modest condition. Another topic is the local fire brigade. The Altbarnim volunteer fire brigade was dissolved 15 years ago, which means that the AltTrebbin fire brigade is responsible for fire protection. The Kronprinz Wilhelm riding club has established itself as an important association and regularly organizes tournaments that bring momentum into the place. Soon the connecting road between Klein- and Large Barnim will also be renovated, which will improve mobility within the districts. The villagers are excited to see whether this renovation will be completed in time for the celebration.
