Oberhavel Kliniken: Wiebke Gröper bringt frischen Wind ins Team!
What is happening in the health landscape of Oranienburg? Wiebke Gröper took over the management of the Oberhavel Clinics on July 1, 2023 and is not only on this post: Dr. Detlef Troppens. Cross-functional cooperation is not exactly the slightest thing that Gröper thinks when she thinks of her new role. As a former director of the Sana Kliniken Sommerfeld and with extensive experience in health management, she brings fresh ideas into the clinic structure.
The 40-year-old came to the Oberhavel Clinics in February 2023, where she acted as head of the administrator and authorized officer. After the planned retirement of Dorothea Mantei in May 2023, Gröper also took over the business at the management level. In the past two years she has worked into all business areas, which helps her to consider the needs of both the patient and the employees. "The management of a clinic administration is a big challenge, but I see it as an exciting task," says Gröper.
focus on digitization and improvement
The challenges that come to healthcare are diverse. The hospital reform is pending and digitization must be promoted. Digital solutions are essential to increase the flow of information and efficiency. According to a report by BPB, modern digital health treatments in Germany are on the rise and are increasingly perceived as indispensable components of patient care. Gröper plans to change the Oberhavel clinics both structurally and professionally. Here she would like to digitize processes so that the staff is relieved and can take care of the essentials: patient care.
"We now have to set the course to transform the Oberhavel clinics into an attractive employer," she emphasizes. Her predecessor Mantei was already on the right path with some preparations and Gröper was planning to continue this thing consistently.
support from politics
The new wind in the clinic administration is also welcomed by the political side. Alexander Tönnies, the district administrator of Oberhavel, is happy about the reinforcement by Gröper. He emphasizes the measures already taken, which the clinics are supposed to prepare for the upcoming challenges. Both managing directors are behind the goal of ensuring a technically well -founded and modern health care in Oranienburg.
Overall, Gröper's commitment promises an exciting development for the Oberhavel clinics and their approximately 2,000 employees. Thanks to intelligent initiatives, impending bottlenecks in healthcare, which could be reinforced by digitization, are to be brought under control. The findings of the bpb show that these steps are urgently necessary in order to meet the increasing demand. It will be interesting to see which noticeable changes Gröper will initiate in the next few years.
