Outstanding Abitur: Theresa Liedtke from Oranienburg shines with 1.0!

Proud achievements in the Abitur exam: Theresa Liedtke from Oranienburg successfully completed her Abitur at Runge-Gymnasium with the dream grade of 1.0. She describes her experiences as intense and reiterates that her success is based on hard work and discipline. She particularly excelled in her advanced courses in biology and English, supported by exams in mathematics (written) and history (oral). Her favorite subjects were biology and mathematics, which she says she particularly enjoys.

Particularly noteworthy is the award that Theresa received for her outstanding achievements in biology: the Karl von Frisch Prize. This honorable prize is awarded by the Association of Biology, Life Sciences and Biomedicine in Germany (VBIO) and has established itself as a popular award since its introduction in 1993. The prize is intended to underline the central role of biology in society and promote motivation for the subject of biology. The conditions for the award are clearly defined: These include, among other things, that biology is taken as a high school subject and at least 14 grade points must be earned in the last four semesters of school. An impressive achievement that Theresa now wears proudly! VBIO reports that this award includes a year of free membership in the VBIO, a certificate and non-cash prizes.

A look at the future

What is the next step for the talented high school graduate? Theresa plans to study medicine. But before moving on to the next academic phase, she decided to complete a voluntary social year in a Berlin hospital. With this break she would like to gain practical experience and recover from the school structures. In her free time she wants to spend time with friends, sewing and browsing books. “It’s time to take a little breath,” she says.

The Karl von Frisch Prize is not only a sign of recognition for her academic efforts, but also a motivation that will accompany her on her further path. The criteria for this prize, both from Wikipedia and from VBIO, are clearly structured and underline the importance of biological education. Theresa can be proud to move in the illustrious company of award winners who stand out for their passion for biology and commitment to education.

We are excited to see what happens next for Theresa. Their commitment and positive plans not only promise an exciting future, but also a valuable addition to the healthcare system. Congratulations and all the best for the challenges ahead on your path!
