Construction work on the bus-train failures until July!

Construction work on the bus-train failures until July!

Currently there are considerable restrictions on train traffic in East Brandenburg that affect travelers on the regional express lines. Construction work on the RE1 between Erkner and Fürstenwalde means that all trains are eliminated between these stations until July 25, 11 p.m. The reason for this? The construction of a new train station in fang lock. Travelers have to adjust to significant changes, since replacement traffic was set up by buses that runs every 30 minutes between Erkner and Fürstenwalde. Passengers have to expect an additional travel time of about one hour. Many of the replacement buses also serve the Fangschleuse/Tesla Süd stop, which is frequently approached, such as maz-online.de reported.

In addition, there are further train failures on different lines. For example, travelers between Erkner and Berlin Ostbahnhof and Berlin Zoologischer Garden also have to fall back on replacement buses until July 9, such as t-online.de. While the RB36 line between Königs Wusterhausen and Beeskow is affected from July 5th to 20th, the RB26 until July 31st between Strausberg and Müncheberg remains interrupted. The RE7 is also affected in the long term: the trains between Borkheide and Potsdam-Babelsberg are eliminated until August 22nd. Replacement buses are also in use in these cases.

What does that mean for commuters and travelers?

For many commuters, the daily travel time can be extended considerably due to the diversions and bus connections. While the new bus connections are often well furnished, the additional travel time of about an hour that follows the changeover does not remain without consequences. In particular, the shuttle service for the Tesla employees from the Niederbarnimer Eisenbahn (NEB) is replaced by buses that run between Erkner and the Tesla plant.

So that all travelers are informed about the current developments, we recommend a look at the website of DB Timetable, which provides current information on access cancellations and interruptions. Here you will also find a fault card and the possibility of being notified automatically via delays.

The construction work is related to the future -oriented development of the transport infrastructure in the region and bring short -term inconvenience, but such measures could lead to a more effective traffic system in the long term. We keep the readers: Inside, of course, about further developments up to date!
