A highlight are the lantern and torchlight parades, which begin at 5:30 p.m. and start at various locations. Here you can feel the special solidarity of the showman's families, like Anett Katzschmann, who is tied to the market with her caravan for the next two weeks. Your family has been active in the showman industry for generations and shows once again how much the Martinimarkt belongs to Neuruppin.

Extensive preparations

Immense efforts are required to organize the market. Over 400 transports bring the shops and caravans to Neuruppin. The construction work requires around 315 m³ of wood chips and 25 km of power cable. The great popularity of the market is also reflected in the fact that applications for a place are three times as high as the available space. A commission selects the participants - a sign that the Martinimarkt is a well-attended and valued event.
