As of today, June 23, 2025, the intersection of Steinstrasse, Ernst-Toller-Strasse and Seepromenade will be completely closed. As a result, pedestrians and cyclists can pass, but access for motor vehicles to the lake dam is severely restricted. Diversions for all types of vehicles, from trucks to buses, lead via Alt Ruppin and the federal highway 167. Bus traffic in particular has to take large detours, which increases travel time by around 15 minutes.

The residents of Seestrasse are worried about the new circumstances. The one-way street regulation extends until 2027 and is perceived by many as critical, especially in the narrow Seestrasse. The parking lot at Rheinsberger Tor also remains closed, not because of the construction work, but because of necessary cleaning work.
