A lot is happening in Potsdam: On October 28, 2025, construction work on a modern residential complex for Quarterback Immobilien officially started. This project, which began in August 2025, will be built between the UNESCO World Heritage Park Babelsberg and the old town of Potsdam. An ideal place that shines not only because of its location, but also because of what is to be created here.
The new residential complex will comprise five floors and offers space for a total of 214 apartments of different sizes. These range from compact one-room apartments to spacious four-room apartments, meaning there is something for every living situation. The living areas vary between 20 and 110 m², and each unit is also equipped with a balcony or terrace that promises a wonderful view of the city and the adjacent Havel landscape.
Construction projects and sustainability
With a total usable area of 11,350 m² and an underground car park that will offer 59 parking spaces, the project makes a real impression. The general contractor East Region Building Construction from Porr in Dresden is taking responsibility for the construction. The deep foundation is particularly important: around 300 bored piles are installed for the foundation, which ensures the stability and longevity of the new buildings.
But that's not all: the residential complex is aiming for the KfW Efficiency House Standard 55 and also the corresponding DGNB certification. This not only shows a good knack for modern living, but also focuses on sustainability.
