Turbine Potsdam sweeps opponents into state league heaven with 11:1!
An exciting weekend for the B2 juniors from Turbine Potsdam! On September 30, 2025, they started the new season of the Regional League West, albeit with only a minimal line-up of seven players. The reason for this is varied: two players were injured during the training week, while four were missing due to school events. Despite these challenging circumstances, the Turbines put in an impressive performance on the pitch.
The early lead in the 4th minute laid the foundation for later success. Opponent SV Blau-Weiß Dahlewitz was able to try to counter with long balls, but was intercepted well by the Potsdam team's strong defense. Sophia, an outstanding player of the match, increased the score to 2-0 in the 21st minute. Before half-time, Sophia and Louisa followed up with two more goals, meaning we went into the locker room with a comfortable 4-0. After the break, when the Turbines were only playing with seven, things continued straight away: Pia and Sophia scored shortly after the restart to make it 6-0.
Surprising turnaround and dominance
But the opponent didn't give up and scored the consolation goal to make it 6-1. However, the answer didn't take long to arrive: a remarkable long-range shot from Hanna was the final point, before Sophia increased the score to 11-1 with two final goals. The B2 juniors can proudly report their first win of the season.
But it wasn't just the B2 juniors who showed off their class at the weekend. The U15 team from Turbine Potsdam was also able to achieve its first win of the season with a clear 4-1 in the second league game on September 27, 2025. The C2 juniors also showed a strong performance against RSV Eintracht 1949 and won their game 2-1 on the same day. The Potsdam team got off to a strong start in the DFB Cup, winning their first game 3-0 against 1. FFC Montabaur on September 27, 2025. Your D2 juniors continued the positive trend with a 4-0 win against Fortuna Babelsberg V on September 28, 2025. The C3 juniors experienced a brief low, losing 4:5 against SV Falkensee-Finkenkrug. In contrast, the U17 from Turbine Potsdam won 3-0 in the state class on September 28, 2025.
