Prignitz entrepreneurs meet: an eye on the future despite bureaucracy!

On Wednesday, July 3, 2025, numerous entrepreneurs gathered at the beautiful courtyard of the former Imperial Post Office in Perleberg for a meeting of the Prignitz Regional Growth Core (RWK). The municipalities of Wittenberge, Perleberg, Karstädt and the Westprignitz Economic Initiative (WIW) decided to join this community. Moderated by Lutz Lange, managing director of the Elberesort Alte Ölmühle and chairman of the economic initiative, the event became a platform for exchanging information about the current economic situation in the region.

Mayor Axel Schmidt warmly welcomed the guests, including Benjamin Grimm, the Minister for Justice and Digitalization in Brandenburg. Lutz Lange took the opportunity to point out the rising unemployment figures, which indicate challenges ahead. He praised the new district administrator as a designer and called for cooperation within the RWK.

Reducing bureaucracy as a central issue

In his contribution, Benjamin Grimm discussed the important reduction in bureaucracy that his ministry is tackling. He underlined the need to improve existing online services and to use population, registration and business registers more effectively. This message is also reflected in the results of the IHK business barometer, which was recently published by the DIHK. Especially at the moment, 95% of companies are of the opinion that reducing bureaucratic hurdles is one of the most urgent tasks of the new federal government.

Spotlight on young entrepreneurs

Christian Fenske from the Prignitz district presented two impressive young entrepreneurs as role models for the region's entrepreneurial spirit: Annika Schischunas and Jonas Grünberg. The latter, at the tender age of 18, is already successfully running “Grünberg Solutions” with two locations in Perleberg and has successfully implemented over 100 projects throughout Germany. He relies on modern techniques such as artificial intelligence to acquire customers and emphasizes the values ​​of honesty and transparency in working with his clients.

Annika Schischunas, on the other hand, has hired an impressive 25 employees with her company “Land.Bau.Werk” in a decade and plans to continue to grow. Such examples motivate and show that, despite difficult conditions in Germany, many entrepreneurs have a good hand when it comes to seizing opportunities.

A look at the future of the economy
