A lot is happening in the Prignitz region, and September 20, 2025 brings some exciting news for the citizens. The Pritzwalker bookstore at Marktstrasse 20 has launched a cooperation with Thalia. This connection allows customers to place electronic orders and pick up their books at the bookstore. Mayor Ronald Thiel is optimistic and wishes the team much success in this new phase. This partnership not only ensures a wider selection, but also promotes local bookselling in the city.

Another important point concerns cycling in the region. The LAG Storchenland Prignitz and Ostprignitz-Ruppin have modernized and digitized the cycle path network. From 2026, the signage on the junction system will be completely renewed to help cyclists more easily explore the over 1,100 kilometers of cycle paths in the Prignitz.
