Full closure in Trattendorf: Start construction work on the L471!
In Spremberg-Trattendorf, it will be a little quieter on the streets from Wednesday, July 9, 2025. The third construction phase of the L471 state road has started, and some traffic changes come to residents and commuters. The work is expected to last until July 24, 2025, and during this period the area will be fully blocked from Wiesenweg to Karl-Marx-Straße (junction Geschwister-Scholl-Straße). Due to the ban on travel and parking, the passage in this section is not possible, which of course will provide some inconvenience, reports Niederlausitz Aktuell .
In order to maintain through traffic, there will be a diversion. The detour leads from Zerre via black pump to Spremberg and back. Local residents who live west of Karl-Marx-Straße have the opportunity to cross the L471 via Zedlitzstraße and Alma-Riedel-Straße, but they should be careful on Saturdays, July 12th and 19th. On these days this intersection will be closed all day. It is advised to remove the vehicles outside the construction area so that the work runs as smoothly as possible.
how is it going?
The construction work on the L471 extends over several sections. The first section, which leads from the state border to Saxony to Arthur Becker-Ring, was completed on June 25, 2025. The second section, from Arthur-Becker-Ring to Wiesenweg, ended on July 8, 2025. The final segment, which is now being tackled, extends to Karl-Marx-Straße. It was originally planned to complete the construction work by the beginning of September, but a good coordination and the striving for shorter diversions help to advance the work faster, such as Brandenburg noted.
The need for construction sites in our cities is often a double -edged sword. On the one hand, they are crucial for improving the street infrastructure, on the other hand, they bring restrictions that affect daily traffic. The digital construction site tool from Secure streets could be a real profit here. It not only offers an interactive map that shows the current construction sites at any time, but also enables a simple message to new construction sites. This means that the citizens are continuously informed about closures, diversions and the expected duration of the construction work. A big plus for everyone who depends on the streets during this time!
It remains to be hoped that the residents and road users will understand for the construction period. After all, every meter that is newly paved is a step towards secure and better streets. And if we all spend a little patience, these restrictions could soon be a thing of the past.
