On October 25th, 2025, an eagerly awaited derby took place in the Quenz stadium: BSG Stahl Brandenburg won 1-0 against Brandenburger SC Süd in the Brandenburg League. This encounter, the first city derby in over ten years, attracted 4,703 spectators, setting a new record for the most fans in a Brandenburg League game. The rivalry between the traditional clubs
In Brandenburg an der Havel, where around 75,000 people live, BSG Stahl and BSC Süd 05 are the two traditional clubs. Last year the teams met in the Brandenburg Cup in front of around 2,200 spectators.

A bus company provided additional buses for the away fans and the club's 120th anniversary was celebrated to coincide with the derby.
