CSD Luckenwalde: glittering variety moves through the city!

Rudolf-Breitscheid-Straße, Luckenwalde, Deutschland - In Brandenburg, a real festival of colors and voices will be celebrated in Brandenburg in 2025! Led by the motto "Never quiet again!" One of the highlights of Christopher Street Day (CSD) will take place on July 12th in Luckenwalde. The event begins at 1 p.m. at Luckenwalde station and moves through the city center, past the district house, with a planned arrival at the summer festival of the E-plant at 3 p.m. The cooperation with the Center for Contemporary Art and the Regenerative Power Plant of the E-Werk is particularly noteworthy, where numerous musical and artistic contributions, as well as various speeches are performed. Two stages provide varied entertainment, with live music, which ranges from punk to hip hop to hits. The E-Werk itself offers workshops, karaoke and DJ dancing, so that there is something for everyone.

CSD as a strong voice

Total 17 CSD events will be organized in Brandenburg in 2025, which is a new record. These solemn demonstrations begin on May 17, the international day against queer hostility, and play an important role in combating discrimination and exclusion. Despite the challenges, such as missing financing projects, the will remains strong to stand up for the right -wing people. Many events serve to counteract the influence of right -wing groups that cause more and more hostility in rural areas.

The CSD in Luckenwalde is not just a celebration, but a sign of cohesion and resistance. The initiative is supported by the district equality and integration officer, Romy Powils, and the district children and youth ring Teltow-Fläming e. V. (KKJR). As reported on the side of Teltow-Fläming, the organization team, which consists of queer people and their allies, is committed to the implementation of this important festival.

a wide range for everyone

In Luckenwalde, a sign is set next to the main program: information stands on queer topics offer essential information and support, including from the Landesverband Anders Gesigne e. V. and the lesbian and gay association Germany. The hands -on offers for children, for example by the Klab youth club, are particularly gratifying.

The variety of events and the solidarity lived underline the importance of the CSD for the region. Despite the challenges that arise from the still missing state budget and withdrawn sponsorship funds, the message remains clear: the queer community in Brandenburg has a voice and will continue to fight for equality and acceptance.
