At around 6:22 p.m., up to 3,000 E.DIS customers had to go without their electricity. Loud nordkurier.de, a cable fault on a 20kV medium-voltage underground cable was the reason for the impairment. Work to resolve the problem was carried out by E.DIS staff, who switched gears to gradually restore power to the affected area.
These incidents make it clear that even in a well-functioning network, disruptions can still occur. E.DIS invests around 200 million euros annually in order to sustainably secure and expand the infrastructure.
