The summer months are just around the corner again and with it the anticipation of a visit to one of the numerous amusement parks in Germany is increasing. A current review by Travelcircus has now chosen the best theme parks in the country. A clear highlight: Europa-Park in Rust, which is at the top with an impressive 21.11 out of 25 points. This award is no coincidence, because Europa-Park has not only been rated as the best theme park in Germany, but has also received international recognition and has been awarded several times as the best theme park in the world, such as Uckermark courier reported.

What makes Europa-Park so special? Travelcircus' evaluation criteria were diverse. These include, among other things, the price-performance ratio, the general reviews on platforms such as Google and TripAdvisor, as well as the popularity of the park through search volume on Google. The over 100 attractions that this amusement park offers are particularly impressive - an ideal mix of fun for young and old.

Placements and attractions

Phantasialand in Cologne-Brühl came in second, just behind Europa-Park with 20.22 points. It is closely followed by Heide-Park Soltau with 19.60 points. An overview of the best theme parks in Germany shows:

The price-performance rating is also worth noting: Karls Erlebnis-Dorf in Elstal shines with a rating of 4.83 points and therefore offers the best value for visitors, while Europa-Park only scores 4.19 points. Despite this rating, Europa-Park has a wide range of attractions suitable for every age group.

A look beyond the borders

However, Travelcircus' analysis extends beyond German borders. A total of 74 theme parks in Europe were examined in order to present a comprehensive theme park check for 2023. Joy and funtainment are very popular with Germans. According to a TUI study, after “food and drink”, they spend the most money on tours and excursions. In addition to Europa-Park, there were also some notable rankings in Europe: Energylandia in Poland ranks second with 41 points and 4.9 stars, followed by Tripsdrill in Germany with 35 points, like TUI represents.

The amusement parks offer numerous opportunities for short breaks from everyday life, making them a popular destination for families. It's no wonder that the trend for short trips has skyrocketed over the last decade and the parks are becoming more and more popular - a real win for leisure lovers and adventure seekers!
