Innovative winners of the Brandenburg Tourism Award 2025 honored!

On September 29, 2025, a celebratory awards ceremony took place at the Congress Hotel Potsdam, at which the Brandenburg Tourism Prize 2025 was awarded. Economics Minister Daniel Keller honored creative and committed players in the industry who promote both digital and ecological innovations. There were 19 submissions to choose from that have the potential to improve tourist experiences and processes in Brandenburg. The prize winners are the Heinz Sielmann Foundation, Gut Leben Landresort and tmu Tourismus Marketing Uckermark GmbH, each of which received prize money of 2,500 euros. Meeting point Potsdam reports that the focus this year is on the topics “Digital & Smart” and “Ecological Change”.

The Heinz Sielmann Foundation was honored with its innovative nature experience app for the Döberitzer Heide. The aim of the app is to get young people excited about nature and to introduce them to environmental education. It offers functions such as visitor guidance, information and gamification elements. It also includes an integrated map function, themed trails and a comprehensive species lexicon. “The award is an important step for the further development of environmental education,” emphasized Carolin Ruh during the award ceremony. Her colleague Kristin Hinsberger added that the app is intended to help young people engage with conservation issues. The press portal also describes the app as being available free of charge for iOS and Android, with currently 55 kilometers of publicly accessible paths.

The Gut Leben Landresort combines tradition and modernity: The converted four-sided courtyard not only offers an event-friendly location, but also attaches great importance to ecological concerns. It promotes sustainability with green roofs, natural ponds and a concept for natural air conditioning. Digital communication and data-based destination management also ensure efficiency and better contact with guests. The Brandenburg tourism network highlights that the resort not only wants to attract holidaymakers, but also contribute to biodiversity.

tmu Tourismus Marketing Uckermark GmbH also received an award, and not without reason. She has established herself as a pioneer for sustainable tourism in Brandenburg. Here, digital ideas are casually combined with nature to offer holidaymakers authentic experiences. The Uckermark presents itself not only as an idyllic travel destination, but also as a model for sustainable development in tourism.
