New power grid for Templin: 3.7 million euros for the energy transition!

Templin, Uckermark, Deutschland - in Templin, Uckermark, there will soon be a big project that is to continue to advance the energy transition. E.DIS Netz GmbH has given the starting signal for a comprehensive network expansion project today, which will come up with an investment of 3.7 million euros. The aim of the project is to adapt the medium -voltage network between the Klosterwalde and Templin substation to the current needs of the region. Work begins on July 22, 2023 and are intended to help enable the connections of heat pumps, fast loaders, wall boxes and solar roofs, which is particularly important for new buildings and companies that want to invest in digitization.

Before the actual construction work starts, detailed construction contact with the Tiefbauhrma Rask Brandenburg GmbH has already taken place. However, challenges can also be expected during the construction phase, including noise pollution and access restrictions for residents. A little patience and understanding are therefore required.

network expansion in the sign of the energy transition

In other regions of Germany, the network expansion is at the top of the agenda. E.DIS in Brandenburg implements numerous construction projects on the electricity and gas network to increase security of supply in Brandenburg and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. The demand for climate-friendly energy and heat supply solutions is increasing steadily, and E.Dis reacts to the increased need with continuous expansion of the networks. Another example of this is the current construction work in Meyenburg, which extend north along Marktstrasse. Here, part of the power distribution network is expanded to optimally align the region to the requirements of the energy transition.

in Meyenburg, where the civil engineering work began in May 2023, the investments with around 750,000 euros should also not be neglected. The work carried out by Kammeyer electrical system construction provides for around 1.5 kilometers of medium -voltage cables and one kilometer low -voltage cable. In addition, empty pipes for future broadband expansion are also laid. Residents are informed in good time about possible impairments so that they can adjust accordingly.

diverse tasks for e.dis

with an impressive power line network of a total of 82,500 kilometers and a gas pipeline network of 5,100 kilometers, is a central player in the region. The company employs around 3,000 people, including around 200 trainees, and has a solid financial basis through its main shareholder E.ON and municipal shareholders. These comprehensive construction projects underline the contribution of E.DIS to increase energy supply security and to support local and industrial investments in the digital area.

The challenges are great, but with a good plan and a strong team, E.Dis is well equipped to set the course for a sustainable future. Stay tuned because we will continue to report on the progress of these exciting projects.
