Next Saturday, July 19, a special event will take place on the Prenzlauer Marktberg: open folk song singing. From 3:30 p.m., all music enthusiasts are invited to sing together and make the hearts of the participants beat faster. Songs like "High on the yellow car", "The Bird Wedding" and "No beautiful country during this time" are on the program. It will be a wonderful opportunity to rediscover old folk songs and sing in a convivial atmosphere.

The parish of Prenzlau in cooperation with the church district of Uckermark cordially invites you to this event. Hannes Ludwig, the district cantor and organ expert of the Ekbo, emphasizes the invaluable value of singing. "Folk songs are a cultural treasure that connects generations," says Ludwig and calls that everyone can participate, whether with or without choir experience. Knowing a note is not necessary because singing along will take about 30 minutes and is an experience that should not be missed.

The crowning glory of the afternoon is a festive concert in the Marienkirche, which begins at 5 p.m. Here choirs will be on stage together with the Prussian chamber orchestra.
