Family from Berlin wins 2.5 million euro villa on Lake Plauer!
An unexpected stroke of luck has turned the lives of Burak Benli and his wife Vivien upside down. The 51-year-old teacher and former football coach from Berlin won the keys to a breathtaking villa on Lake Plauer in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania in an exciting raffle. The villa, which is estimated to be worth an impressive 2.5 million euros, was raffled off by the organization Omaze. A 25 euro ticket was not only intended for a good cause, but also to make the couple from Berlin happy.
The villa boasts 325 square meters of living space and extends over a spacious plot of 2500 square meters. The facilities leave nothing to be desired: from triple-glazed panoramic windows to a luxurious custom-made kitchen with SMEG appliances to a master bedroom with a free-standing bathtub and access to the 55 m² roof terrace. A designer fireplace is also unusual, rounding off the high-quality ambience. Burak and Vivien can soon look forward to a garden with an automatic irrigation system and a robot lawn mower. The environmental friendliness of the villa is underlined by modern technology such as a solar-supported condensing boiler, as Uckermark Kurier reports.
From Berlin into nature
The raffle, which is classified as reputable by the nationwide gaming authority GGL, came to Burak out of the blue while on holiday in Turkey. A call from neighbors surprised him with news that has a special meaning for him and his wife: Burak's birthday fell on the day the winnings were announced. The two are thrilled by the new location and the luxury of their new home.
But the villa is not the only thing Burak has won. In addition to the dream house, the couple also receives 100,000 euros in cash. With the villa, the possibilities of your new property become diverse: Burak has the carefree freedom to use, rent or even sell it debt-free, with local agents estimating the monthly rental income at up to 3,500 euros. This is a good deal!
Omaze and the good cause
The raffle not only brought good luck to the Benlis, but also made a significant contribution. Omaze has raised one million euros for SOS Children's Villages worldwide through this campaign. With this first German house raffle, a minimum amount of 500,000 euros will be donated to charitable projects to support educational programs and protect children in need. This is an initiative that has proven successful in the UK since 2020, where over €100 million has been raised for good causes.
With celebrity backers such as David Beckham and Eddie Redmayne and a target of 100 million euros of investment in Germany over the next three years, Omaze shows that there is a clear path towards helping those in need and fulfilling dreams. And now the company is also making a name for itself in Germany!
