New regulations: Advice at the employment agency only by appointment!
From now on, customers of employment agencies in the Mecklenburg Lake District must make an appointment for personal advice. This was announced by Ronny Steeger, press spokesman for the Neubrandenburg employment agency. The only exceptions are urgent emergencies and legal deadlines. However, these special cases are only treated at the main agency in Neubrandenburg during regular opening hours, so it is advisable to secure an appointment in advance.
Andreas Böhning, the deputy head of the Neubrandenburg employment agency, points out that many issues can be conveniently dealt with online. A total of around 70 administrative services are available that enable digital processing. This includes, among other things, registering as a job seeker, applying for unemployment benefit, searching for a job and uploading documents. The corresponding digital services are accessible via the employment agency’s website. All you need to book the appointment is a smartphone, tablet or computer. If you can't find the tile on the website straight away, you should scroll down.
The offer from the employment agency
The employment agency not only offers support in the form of cash benefits such as unemployment benefit or citizens' benefit, but also includes comprehensive advice. During the appointments, professional goals and development opportunities can be discussed, and there are also valuable tips on looking for a job and preparing application documents. The first conversations can be held both in person and online. Anyone who has questions or needs support in advance should consider their own knowledge and skills and also involve friends and family.
Much of this can also be done using the “BA-mobil” app, which enables contact with the placement specialist and access to important information. It is best for those interested to prepare for the first appointment with a few documents. This includes, among other things, your identity card, CV and proof of qualifications. For people from abroad, a residence permit is also required.
Digital services at a glance
The Federal Employment Agency is increasingly relying on digital offers that are important not only for job seekers, but also for companies. For example, companies can digitally submit applications for short-time work benefits or insolvency benefits and apply for support to train skilled workers. This also includes applying for reimbursement of travel expenses for interviews. Young people receive support via digital platforms when applying for vocational training grants and can find out about vocational training measures. The agency also offers special services for people with disabilities and support for people from abroad.
Overall, it is clear: the employment agency has modernized its offering and is responding to the needs of its customers, so that many issues can be easily dealt with from home.
