The fire department Lützow had directed its eyes to the title last weekend. After the second place in the previous year, the firefighters wanted to stand on the podium at the top of the municipality of Lützow -Lübstorf at the district defense of the municipality of Lützow -Lübstorf. "We practiced intensively one evening before the competition," reports official defense guide Arne Borck, who praised the cohesion of the weirs in the area of ​​office.

The competition was strong. The fire brigade from God's gift, only four kilometers away, grabbed the victory with the highest score in all disciplines. Lützow did not optimally cut off in the "Delete attack wet" discipline, a main discipline in fire brigade sports, and only took fifth place there. Hosting Alt Meteln triumphed wet in the extinguishing attack, followed by God's gift. Overall, Lützow took second place in the overall ranking.

The performance of the children's and youth defense from Lützow was particularly gratifying. The young people won their competition and left old Meteln and the combination of God's gift/Pokrent and Seehof behind. Tim Schmidt, the youth worker from Lützow, was very satisfied with the achievements of his team.

The new children's weirs from Perlin and Cramonshagen also competed together. Here eight children from Perlin and three from Cramonshagen teamed up after they had previously practiced together. It is noteworthy that the children's weir in Perlin was only founded in March, which underlines the great commitment and enthusiasm of the young firefighters.

The discipline "Delete attack Nass" itself is an exciting race in fire brigade, in which a team of seven firefighters in full operations must carry out a simulated extinguishing attack within a very short time. The dynamic competition track is 95 meters long and 20 meters wide, and the time measurement only begins when both containers are filled with ten liters each. These requirements ensure that the firefighters not only have to demonstrate their technology, but also their team spirit. The machinist, who is responsible for the portable pump, must not help with the other team members, which ensures additional tension.

The interest in youth fire brigades is growing, and the country has high hopes for lively participation in future competitions due to the new uniform competition regulations for the discipline "Lösch attack wet". These regulations are intended to ensure a uniform comparison of young people and are a great incentive to continue to be involved in fire brigade.
