Gadebusch is expecting hundreds at the 12th classic car meeting at Burgsee!

The classic car meeting in Gadebusch attracts attention! On Sunday, July 20th, the sports field at the museum will be transformed into a true mecca for car fans from 10 a.m. Hundreds of visitors are already enjoying strolling through the history books on wheels. The picturesque location on Lake Burgsee and the family atmosphere are the secret of its ongoing success.

At the meeting, participants can look forward to impressive vehicles with cult status. Particularly noteworthy is Peter Dettmann, who will bring his Simson “Habicht” from 1974 – an heirloom from his parents. He drove this machine to his apprenticeship at the Carlsson car dealership in Nesow and looks back with joy on numerous tours to the Baltic Sea. A morning pint, music by DJ Marcus Timm and dance performances by the children and youth club “FreiRaum” are planned. Guests can also look forward to hearty food with grilled food, drinks, coffee and cake. If you want to test your luck, you've come to the right place with the eagerly awaited raffle.

Vehicle show and anniversaries

Last year, classic car enthusiasts presented loudly Baltic Sea newspaper almost 150 vehicles, from Barkas and BMW to Simson and Trabant to Volvo and Wartburg. In particular, the 75 hp Robur vehicle used in the GDR, which was once used by the border troops, attracted a lot of attention. Another highlight will be the 19th Simson meeting on September 19th, where almost 900 drivers of Simson mopeds such as the Habicht, Schwalbe, Spatz and S 51 are expected. Passing guests can look forward to an impressive spectacle with a caravan of mopeds and motorcycles. Participants travel from places like Lübeck and Hagenow to take part. If you're feeling hungry, the Rögnitz village park is well catered for, where lunch awaits visitors.

Gadebusch can hardly contain his anticipation for the 2025 classic car season. Among the countless events, the “Classics and Coffee” event from Mercedes-Benz, which takes place as a weekly highlight from April to October, is also mentioned SJS car styling reported.
