SG Roggendorf's largest sports festival: fun for young and old!

The SG Roggendorf 96 club invites you to a very special experience from July 18th to 20th, 2025 - the largest sports festival in the club's 29-year history. Under the leadership of chairman Mario Schulz, sports enthusiasts in Roggendorf will experience a weekend full of activities. And the best thing about it: everyone, whether athlete or non-athlete, can join in the celebration!

The sports festival is aimed particularly at children from daycare centers, after-school care centers and schools in the area, including Rehna, Schlagsdorf and Gadebusch. A wide range of offerings awaits guests young and old here. The highlight of the festival is the exciting decathlon, which takes place on Saturday, July 19th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Attractions for young and old

On this spectacular weekend, little athletes can look forward to a number of exciting attractions: a nine-meter-high climbing mountain, the popular milking competition, a bungee run and a darts board ensure lots of fun and action. There will also be a darts tournament during the festival, which will provide additional entertainment.

A special highlight is the nine-meter shooting on Saturday, in which teams of five can compete against each other. Shooters must be at least 16 years old, while younger players can also take part. The exciting shooting starts at 4 p.m., followed by an award ceremony at around 7 p.m. Over 22 men's teams and five women's teams have already registered for this event, and additional teams can register directly on site.

Your physical well-being is taken care of

Of course, physical well-being is not neglected either. Visitors can look forward to a wide range of offerings, ranging from coffee and cake to grilled food, chips and ice cream. This is a great way to strengthen yourself after all the physical activity. On Saturday evening, the athletes' ball with DJ Maik Hartmann will ensure an exuberant atmosphere!

Preparations for this big event have been in full swing since the end of last year. Around 40 volunteers are committed to ensuring that the sports festival is a complete success. The conclusion with a skat tournament on Sunday will certainly appeal to many forms of the game.

A club in growth

The SG Roggendorf 96 club has grown significantly in recent years and currently has almost 200 members. The trend is increasing as more and more people are interested in the sport. New this year is the registration of an F youth team for official football matches, which underlines the club's broad approach to supporting children in sport. Another goal is to found a new children's sports division, in which around 20 members are already active. The motivation behind it is clear: more children should get involved in sports!
