With 75 buildings: Discover the midsummer memise in MV!

Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Deutschland - on June 21 and 22, 2025, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania invites you to “Mid-Summer Remise- Festival of the Gutshäuser”, an event that focuses on culture and history and opens over 70 listed manor houses for visitors. This unique experience promises to give insights into the culinary and cultural treasures of the region and to bring the fascinating history of these magnificent buildings up to 300 years old. Among other things, the program includes tours, sound experiences and exhibitions that will inspire both locals and tourists. As the Stern can also be discussed with the manor and lead the locksmith and thus receive a very personal access to the history.

The event takes place in seven different regions, including Ostseegutsland, Western Pomerania, Peene and Tollensetal, Randowbruch, Gutsland, Parkland and Lake District. A total of 75 castles, manor houses and mansion open their doors, of which 12 houses alone take part in the festival for the first time and thus also present new facets of historical architecture. Among them are the Kaeselow Castle west of Schwerin, the Levetzow mansion southeast of Wismar and the Rattey Castle near Neubrandenburg, which are newcomers at this cultural event.

On Saturday there are impressive 58 stately buildings for visitors who can look forward to numerous programs. From Gutshaus gamehl , where romantic carriage rides are offered, to Herrenhaus Roggow , which is illuminated with poems in the park - there is something for every taste. The Pötenitz Castle also inspires with a campfire concert and the Friedrichshof mansion offers an open-air cinema with the timeless classic “Casablanca”.

On Sunday, 48 estate and mansion are open, whereby the Groß Lüsewitz Castle can come up with a fine string concert. Ideas of different types invite you to enjoy the culinary delights and the gentle sounds of the region.

transport and ticket information

For convenient access to the events, shuttle buses are available from the cities of Rostock, Wismar, Schwerin and Greifswald, which makes travel easier for visitors. Tickets are available either online or via the tourist information and directly in the participating estate houses. Prices vary, whereby a day ticket costs € 14 in advance and a weekend ticket costs for both days with € 25. There are discounted offers for students and students.
