Music and magic: Schönberg music summer starts with cultural fireworks!
The Schönberg Music Summer will once again bring joy to art and culture lovers in the region! From June 24th to September 16th, 2025, the picturesque community of Schönberg will once again be transformed into an Eldorado for music lovers. The varied concert calendar promises impressive performances and musical highlights that will attract visitors from near and far. As nordkurier.de reports, guests can look forward to a total of 13 events that cover a wide range of music genres.
The band “Harmonic Brass” will kick things off on Tuesday, June 24th with their new playlist called “Big Trip”. The program then continues seamlessly with the performance of “8 to the Bar” on Friday, June 27th. Every Tuesday, visitors are offered another concert, including the ensembles of the Lübeck University of Music and the Youth Chamber Choir of the Schwerin Music High School, which perform on July 1st and 8th.
A variety of highlights are coming up!
The organizers have really retained a good knack for presenting outstanding artists this year too. “Gankino Circus” will take the stage on July 11th. The band from West Central Franconia is known for their mystical melodies and the combination of handmade music, storytelling and humor. Their performance tells of a magnificent road trip through the Finnish countryside and addresses the unique characteristics and humor of the Finns. As schoenberger-musiksommer.de explains, the Gankino Circus celebrates a big solstice celebration not only musically, but also with their special type of concert cabaret.
Further musical delights include the “Bach Passion” concert on July 22nd and an open singing with the Schönberger Turmbläser on July 25th, which will certainly create a great atmosphere. On July 29th, visitors can look forward to the Adumá Saxophone Quartet, followed by the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania State Youth Orchestra on August 5th.
A crowning conclusion
The summer of music not only brings artists from the region to the stage, but also renowned ensembles such as the Kammerphilharmonie Hamburg and the Morten Kargaard Septet from Copenhagen. On September 2nd there will be a special concert experience with the theme “Helsinki – Paris”, before the film “No Man's Land” with live music will be shown on September 9th. The crowning conclusion is the concert “Timeless” with the “Latvian Voices” on September 16th.
This summer will once again show how lively and varied cultural life is in Schönberg. Don't miss the opportunity to be part of this special musical event, where every evening promises a unique experience!
