Construction work on the motorway feeder: diversions and closures until August!

On the motorway feeder between Rostock and the A20, the construction work goes into the next phase. The preparations for repair work have been underway since Monday, such as the NDR . Security baks and signs were set up to point out the road users to the upcoming changes.

The actual repair work start on Wednesday, July 16, and are expected to continue until August 5. The affected areas include the western junction Kritzmow and the A20 exit Rostock-West from the direction of Stettin. Due to the discovered significant defects in the top layer, found by the road construction office, these emergency measures have become necessary. Surprisingly, the asphalt work was only completed in August 2024, but there were already serious defects that must now be remedied by the construction company, such as the Nordkurier added.

traffic steering and diversions

The arrival and departure of the Kritzmow junction in the direction of the Autobahn is particularly affected. Significant restrictions on traffic can be expected in the coming weeks. Drivers have to prepare for the fact that the Kritzmow junction is fully blocked from Rostock-Warnemünde. The departure from the A20 to the B103 is also closed for security reasons, which requires additional diversions.

  • Detirement 1: via the A20 to the Rostock-Südstadt junction, then via the L132 Niendorf and the Südring in Rostock, further over Satower Straße (L10).
  • Revaluation 2: From Kritzmow via Clausdorf (L10) to the Bad Doberan motorway connection to the A20.

The traffic itself is not completely paralyzed. During the construction work, a lane is available in both directions, which enables a certain flow of traffic. But patience is required, because the detours and restrictions are expected to be delayed.
