Insights on digital twins
Digital twins are an exciting topic that could also be of interest to many older people. These virtual models represent physical objects and enable a variety of applications in the digital world through continuous data monitoring, analysis and simulation. For example, they can be used to optimize production processes in industry or act as an aid in urban planning.
The capabilities of digital twins are impressive: they improve manufacturing efficiency, enable early detection of errors and are indispensable for the development of smart cities. Digital twins are also used in healthcare to predict the course of diseases or to optimize operations in clinics. Market forecasts show tremendous growth for this technology - from $24.5 billion in 2025 to an expected $259.3 billion by 2032.
Like many of the latest technologies, digital twins offer endless possibilities for all ages. It's exciting to see how they influence the way we live and work. Maybe the digital get-together in Warnemünde will also bring one or two aha experiences when it comes to digital twins.
