There is a lot of activity in Rostock today because the popular “Spielidee” trade fair has opened its doors. Now in its eleventh edition, this event, which will take place on November 7, 2025, will attract a colorful bouquet of around 80 exhibitors and an impressive 10,600 square meters of experience space. The Rostock Hanseatic Fair once again acts as a central location for players and hobbyists. The variety of activities on offer ranges from classic board and card games to model building and creative workshops. The offering includes not only board games, but also action games and educational toys, which makes the fair particularly attractive for families. There are special entry prices for children and young people aged 4 to 14, which make it easier to take part and try things out. Day tickets cost 11.00 euros, while a reduced day ticket costs 10.00 euros.

A highlight that particularly delights younger people is a huge mountain made of 250,000 Lego bricks that invites them to join in. But it's not just Lego fans who get their money's worth here; Visitors can also demonstrate their artistic skills by doing crafts and drawing in the creative area. Other attractions include exciting workshops and stage shows that provide entertainment. This mixture of games, creativity and a sense of community is the goal that project manager Yvonne Spörcke is pursuing with the fair.
The “Spielidee” is not just a trade fair, but a meeting place for young and old to immerse themselves in the world of gaming together and create memories. The supporting program also includes a sheet cake competition and the production of cookies for those in need, which further enhances the event.
