November 6th, 2025 is an important day for theater lovers in Kummerow: advance sales for the brand new play “The Heiden of Kummerow – Alles Müller, or... how?” has begun. This performance is part of a multi-year theater cycle that started in 2025 with the production “The Heiden von Kummerow – How it all began”. The director of the Darß Festival, Niklas Ziemann, has announced exciting news that could captivate audiences in the coming years.

The plot of the new play promises a humorous drama: It revolves around Müller Düker, who grows the flour in Kummerow and uses less than praiseworthy methods to get his income. His actions attract the displeasure of the local council, the pastor and the mayor. This causes the children of the village to react to Müller's machinations with pranks. At one point there is even a court hearing that decides whether Müller, who is acting in a dubious manner, has to leave Kummerow.

Details about the performances

Rehearsals for the piece will begin in May 2026, and the premiere performances will take place in the idyllic open-air theater in Born from July 3rd to August 28th, 2026. A special highlight in the next season is the introduction of an additional performance that will bring the performances forward by half an hour - it now starts at 7:30 p.m.
