On July 20, 2025, there was a serious motorcycle accident in Barleben on the Lehmkuhlenbreite. At around 3:30 p.m., a 61-year-old car driver intended to cross Ebendorfer Chaussee. The 43-year-old motorcyclist, who was approaching at high speed and had the right of way, was unable to avoid the collision despite emergency braking. Another incident occurred on July 22, 2025 in Bülstringen, where a 19-year-old driver caused a traffic accident while under the influence of narcotics. At 1:40 a.m. she noticed the roundabout on the L 24 too late and drove onto the central island at high speed. Her Hyundai overturned several times and she also sustained serious injuries.
