The demolition of the old ring bridge, which was in danger of collapsing, which was completed on the night of June 19th, had already caused great excitement in April. Extensive investigations revealed massive damage. The work required as a result meant that tram traffic on the west side of the square remained possible, while the area under the bridge was reopened after completion. The dismantling of the fall bed should be completed by the end of June, with the costs for this work being estimated at around 564,000 euros Day24.
