District fire chief resigns: Who will take over the leadership in Jerichower Land?
There is great excitement in Jerichower Land after the district fire chief resigned from his position with immediate effect in August for personal reasons. Deputy district fire chief Christian Maier has already been appointed as his successor and will manage the business on an interim basis. While the district thanks Maik Friedrich for his commitment in recent years, it is still unclear who will be his successor. [Meetingpoint reports that] the next district council meeting is already scheduled for September 24th, at which Friedrich will be officially relieved of his role.
The processes surrounding the replacement of the district fire chief position are clear. The district is currently working on advertising the volunteer position. All military leaders should be involved in the selection of applicants. However, the appointment of a new district fire chief could only take place at the first district council in 2026.
