An important part of the voluntary local chronican work is supported by the "The local chronicler" platform. The local chronicler is an initiative that is aimed at home-like people and promotes the exchange of ideas and experiences. The aim is to build a lively community that takes on both traditional and digital ways of local history research.

The Dr. Fritz-Milkoswski Foundation, which has organized such award ceremonies since 1988, shows how valuable the commitment of the local chronicists for the culture of memory. These honors make it clear that home stories are not only a piece of the past, but also form an essential basis for our future living together.
