Huge victory for VfB Empor Glauchau: liberation in the relegation battle!

What an evening for VfB Empor Glauchau! After a ten-week drought without a win, the players celebrated a hard-fought away win against 1. FC Lok Stendal 3-2 on Sunday. With this only second win in the current league season, the team has finally left the relegation places behind them and is now in 13th place with 12 points. This was reported by Blick and caused great relief in the Glauchau camp.

The game was a real thriller, in front of at least 350 spectators who experienced an exciting encounter. Lok Stendal started strong and put Glauchauer under pressure. But VfB showed heart and fought back. Randolf Riesen, who is on loan from FSV Zwickau, was the big hero of the evening: with two goals, in the 20th and 51st minute, he set the course for victory. André Luge, who scored a third goal in the 85th minute, also played a central role in the success. Coach Nico Quade praised his team's performance after the game and described the encounter as an “open fight”.
