A breath of fresh air into the new week: Today, October 29, 2025, a low pressure area is moving through our region over Scandinavia and bringing cool sea air to Saxony-Anhalt. While the temperatures are gradually moving towards winter and the fresh wind is blowing strongly, especially in the Harz Mountains, the weather will also be exciting in the coming days.
The weather forecast for today shows that there could be some scattered rain, while temperatures will be between 14 and 16 degrees. But be careful: There is a risk of severe squalls on the Brocken with speeds of up to 110 km/h. A real gust of wind for everyone who wants to spend time up there!
A windy weekend is ahead
Thursday night will bring dense clouds and possible rain, and guests to the Brocken should also be prepared for strong winds and squalls. On Thursday itself, the clouds will clear up over the course of the day, with highs between 12 and 14 degrees. But here too it is advisable to keep an eye on the weather situation.
The night of Friday will then be significantly calmer, dry and possibly with frost, as temperatures could drop to -1 degrees. Ideal for anyone wanting to get a little fresh air, but perhaps not ideal for the more sensitive souls through the frosty night.

Friday itself will be cloudy but dry, with maximum temperatures of up to 15 degrees - in the Harz it is a slightly cooler 12 degrees. There will also be no precipitation on Saturday night, despite thick clouds. But the night brings lower temperatures that could drop to 10 to 7 degrees.
On Saturday things will get livelier again: increasing clouds and rain are to be expected in the afternoon, and here too you have to expect some heavy squalls on the Brocken. The temperatures remain rather mild at 14 to 16 degrees, but the capricious weather doesn't dampen the mood.
