The initiative of Bernd Herrmann and Axel Freydank, who were annoyed by a letter from the city, has almost symbolic character. They were originally asked to remove their plants, even though they fulfill an important function: they protect against dust, dog piles and parked vehicles and improve the street scene. This lively interest and lack of understanding towards the authorities was also reinforced by numerous feedback from the neighborhood, which expressed their displeasure in the MZ.

The plants may remain in their place for the time being until a document is created in August that regulates the care and the briefly maintained of the plants. The affected residents are satisfied with the oral agreement, but would like to examine the contract in detail. It is tragic that some neighbors have already reached the shovel to avoid potential conflicts.
