On September 3, 2025, a traffic accident on the A4 motorway between Görlitz and Dresden overshadowed the region around Bautzen. According to a report by Sächsische.de A 54-year-old driver of a Mercedes truck was involved in an incident when an unknown car driver abruptly changed lanes. The truck driver had to take evasive action and then collided with the guardrail. Fortunately, he was uninjured, but there was significant damage to property amounting to around 22,000 euros. The car driver is on the run and the police are now looking for witnesses who can provide further information.
