Construction site madness in Chemnitz: New closures from Monday!

There's a lot happening on the streets in Chemnitz! From Monday, June 16th, several new construction projects will start that will keep not only drivers but also residents on their toes. Loud View Glösaer Strasse, Konradstrasse and Leipziger Strasse, among others, are the focus of construction site activities.

Particular attention is paid to Glösaer Straße, which will be completely closed between Frankenberger Straße and Lichtenwalder Straße. This measure is scheduled to last until September 7th, and the diversion will take place via Huttenstrasse and Lichtenwalder Strasse. Will anyone still get through there? Time will tell. Konradstrasse is also affected, where there will be a partial closure, especially between house number 26 and Paul-Jäkel-Strasse. One-way traffic is the order of the day here. The work on laying and replacing electrical cables is expected to be completed by June 27th.

Traffic chaos is inevitable

But that's not all: it's also getting tight on Leipziger Straße! There is a lane reduction between Heidelberger Straße and a gas station. This work runs from Monday to Friday and is used to rehabilitate a road inlet. At this point we can only hope that traffic management doesn't become just a game of patience!

Like the reporting from DAY24 As you can see, an increasing number of construction sites in Chemnitz are causing traffic chaos and not only causing long traffic jams at intersections, but also causing dissatisfaction among residents.
