The city of Chemnitz has announced a series of mobile speed checks for the month of November. This measure is intended to help increase traffic safety and ensure compliance with the maximum permitted speeds. In the first week of November, from November 3rd to 7th, the focus will be on the western and southern city areas. These locations were specifically selected to punish traffic violations where the risk of accidents is higher.
Controls in residential areas and school routes
In the following week, from November 10th to 14th, mobile controls will be increasingly carried out on school routes and in residential areas. These include Neukirchner Straße and Pelzmühlenstraße. In these areas in particular, the controls are intended to ensure that residents and school children are not put at risk.
Additional locations are planned for the last two weeks of November, November 17th to 21st and November 24th to 28th. The focus here is on Walter-Klippel-Straße and Zschopauer Straße, among others.
